On April 16, 2026, the presentation of the book “Giorgi Kvesitadze Bioorganic Technologies” by Academician of Georgian National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Biological Sciences Tinatin Sadunishvili was held at Grigol Robakidze University.
The book presentation was attended by: Academicians of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences: Vladimer Papava, Tamaz Shilakadze, Guram Japaridze,; Rector of Grigol Robakidze University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Mamuka Tavkhelidze; Academician - Secretary of the Department of Environmental Protection and Forestry Sciences of the Georgian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Academician Lasha Dolidze. The presentation was also attended by the representatives of the academic community and other interested parties.
The session was opened with a welcoming speech by the Rector of Grigol Robakidze University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Mamuka Tavkhelidze. Then, he handed over the floor to Academician Tinatin Sadunishvili, who gave a detailed overview of the biotechnologies studied and developed by Academician Giorgi Kvesitadze, focusing on their essence and significance.
Academician Giorgi Kvesitadze also made an extensive report to the audience, who spoke about the main findings and challenges in his presentation. In particular, he noted that the presented biotechnologies are based on plants, non-toxic mycelial fungi and their enzymes selected from the biological diversity of Georgia based on the analysis of physiological and biochemical characteristics; As for the goal of developing biotechnologies, this is the selection and characterization of actionable biological tools, the transformation of renewable biomass into non-toxic, high-calorie value-added products, and soil decontamination.
